on new year's eve, i went to a friend's house and partook of a taste-bud-altering pill distilled from the miracle fruit. it turned lemon into sweet oranges, took the bitter out of grape fruit, and turned tomatoes sweeter than ones marinated in sugar. the effect wore off after 30 minutes.
